This week, we've spent a lot of time thinking about, talking about, and praying about this.
We are thinking about how healthy the forest will be when the fire is done burning, we are mostly just concerned about the safety of everyone in the are.
It's not shocking that there is a fire, it is a forest, and it needs to burn to be healthy. So as my parent's have anxiously been awaiting the fire arriving at their home, we've been living life close to the phone.
While we prayed for rain in Idaho, we got DRENCHED trying to watch a White Sox game with Grandpa and Grandma Zarko!
Nora didn't see what all the fuss was about, and she was not a fan of being right below the speaker at all. Ben pretty much loved the entire experience.
Ben even enjoyed his nap. A fly ball came RIGHT next to us, and Greg would have caught it if Ben wasn't sleeping.
We had to wait a long time for the game to start, due to a rain delay, so we decided to take a picture of our shoes, which all ended up being Converses that day. Isn't that so cute? bleh.
In the end, they called the game, but the teams had played enough of it that the official score was recorded and the White Sox won! What a great first game for Ben and Nora!
Ben discovered sharing this week, and even though his is still practicing, I caught him sharing his remote with Nora. I think he loves her.
Nora is rolling both directions, even though she is not horribly proficient yet, she is getting it figured out. We are amazed at how children seem to pick things up so quickly! She started grasping things on her own and laughs in delight when she does.
We also fished a little this week. We didn't catch anything, but it is fun to live somewhere that we can fish in the backyard. Ben personally likes to just feed the worms to the fish by sneaking them out of the container and tossing them into the channel. He doesn't quite get the idea yet, but he does love being outside, and I am thankful for that.
