Ben was struggling for a while fully getting the potty training thing and I was getting really burnt out, partly because I was so tired from the baby. Nora was up in the night with teething pain, I was dead tired, and we were up changing Ben's sheets every few hours.
Finally, another mother at church said that it had taken months for her son to get it all figured out. It gave me a huge sense of relief and I decided to give it a rest and put Ben back in diapers.
So for a week or so he diapered and I ordered him a really nice potty seat (with a high pee guard!), stocked us up with treats again, and took him to the chiropractor a few times.
I was amazed at what we learned from the chiropractor and shocked when Ben slept so soundly after his first adjustment!
When we started back up Greg and I decided not to stress over bedtime diapers because Ben goes quite often and we would just wait for him to be done with the diapers himself.
The first day went great! He didn't poop on the toilet, but he also didn't poop at all that day. The second day he told Greg he had to poop, walked over to his potty, pulled his pants down and pooped like it was no sweat.
We celebrated!
He got his very own ice cream cone and we all packed up on the spot and went to the train museum!
Generally he has been accident free...until the last three days. And it is so annoying! We had WEEKS of accident free living and now he walks up and casually informs us that he has pooped in his underwear.
What?
