Nora:
Thinks she is ready for the potty
Says soooo many words and puts together good phrases
Her first sentence was, “Where’s Rob?” , followed by, “Where
did Daddy go?”
Today she told me, “I want water.” Of course, she had just
walked over a mile, so she was desperate to get a drink.
She loves climbing everything
She is a total ham
Her nicknames include; Pork chop, Bulldog, Love bug, and Bruiser
Loves being on the ice with her brother
Says both “hockey” and “Blackhawks”
Enjoys playing hockey with her brother
Periodically steals a toy from Ben and runs away just to
upset her brother
Quickly learned to pronounce “Miiiiiiiiiiine”
Out of nowhere Nora began really loving Thomas the Tank
Engine. Ben never cared one way or another about Thomas until Nora did, now
they compete for the ONE Thomas train we have. Luckily, because Nora seems to
love everything Thomas related, the books keep her entertained for hours.
Sleeps with Puddle, Baby, and Greta –calls them all by name
and refuses to leave bed without all three in her arms
Shakes your hand and says, “Nice to meet you.”
Is obsessed with babies
Enjoyed camping, especially the dirt
Makes the funniest faces and has the most hilarious expressions
Has the BEST crying face ever
Will follow Ben anywhere
Loves being outside and usually asks to go outside before
she I have a chance to lift her out of bed
Rarely says no to food
Is in the tough process of dropping her first nap
FINALLY broke four teeth at once that she was working on
most of the summer, causing terrible, terrible, terrible rashes all over her
face
She likes to help, but isn’t quite as into it as Ben was/is.
I think it is because Ben overshadows her a lot and he helps so much that Nora
doesn’t get as many jobs. We work hard to make sure that she also has age
appropriate tasks. She is great at throwing away garbage, putting laundry in
the hamper, and taking care of her babies. She is not always great at helping
pick up toys.
She loves her Daaaaaaaddy!
Nora fills a room with her spirit. She just radiates life
and is fun to be around.
Nora also is really good at passively disobeying, which is
very different from her brother, and often requires us to re-evaluate how to
approach her to help her grow.
Greg says Nora is enough girls for our family…we’ll see…
